CINDY'S 60TH

For Cindy's 60th birthday bash, she organized a benefit at the Eagles #34 club for the International Institute of Minnesota, an organization that helps to resettle refugees in Minnestoa. This show, including Cindy's pals The Mighty Mofos, Kinda Kinky, her own band, plus SUPERGROUP LES DETACHABLES raised $3000 dollars for the charity. Thank you to everyone who bought tickets, attended, and who shared the news about the event.

“Back in the days when there were so few women in rock bands that people were constantly writing articles called “There Are Women in Rock Bands Now! What Does This MEAN?” whenever they found a few, Cindy Lawson formed the Clams, and later Whoops Kitty. Now Lawson’s turning 60, and her birthday party Saturday night at the Eagles Club is doubling as a benefit for Afghan refugees, with all proceeds going to the International Institute of Minnesota” - Keith Harris
